ccs Fall fundraiser 2026
Our creative theme this year is Balance, and finding balance can be a challenge for all of us. The search for balance can mean the right support in a world that does not always look out for us. For our work, it might mean promoting universal design, so that studios, exhibitions, and classrooms work for everyone from the start rather than by exception.
Will you help us find balance before the end of 2026?
A donation to CCS supports a community of artists with disabilities to come together and share community, place, creativity and opportunity. Our goal is to raise 27k before 2027. This will keep our studio doors, provide new exhibit opportunities and art materials for all 50 artists who join us weekly and 150+ who join us monthly. Our thrifty team of instructors who facilitate and carry out our classes, exhibitions and outreach workshops into libraries and community spaces across Pittsburgh are all supported by our community and you.
Our impact in 2026:
485 programs and sessions every year for adult artists
349 weekly classes, including 259 Visual Arts studio sessions and 90 Citizen Made professional development sessions
50 artists in our Visual Arts studio classes, and 34% of them take more than one class
4 week-long summer workshops from June to August, with 33 artists participating and 48% returning for more than one
123 community outreach workshops in libraries and partner sites across Pittsburgh
9 exhibitions and public displays of our artists’ work
